Yahoo! is a king maker in search while displacing itself as a search player.

I've never understood why they don't see their role in their own demise, every search page returns:

"Powered by Bing™" at the bottom

Before that it was "Powered by google"

They should really focus on making their own king, possibly acquiring or developing their own search service with stand alone branding. Every web search done at Yahoo! is just one more mention of Bing.
