More seriously, can you tell whether results are missing or the numbering is just wrong?
In my case, I get the "news" listings at the top for a search and then 14 items, then page 2 is items 9-20, which is correct in terms of numbering, but not so correct in terms of showing me the same stuff twice.
It's an interesting idea though - assuming people only look at the top listings and then go to page 2, it now puts the below the fold listings for page 1 at the top of page 2, which is not really such a bad idea perhaps.
At the very least, it should give them some really good data.
