My page 2 is
9-23
... except then I went back to look more closely at page 1, counted 15 items, and now page 2 says
16-30
31-45
(this time I counted before turning pages; there really were 15)
46-60
et cetera.

Different search
(first page: 8 results)
9-23
24-38
39-53

That's all it is. On my first go-round, page 1 shows eight results, and each successive page is 15. If I go back to page 1 from a higher page, it shows a full 15 and then everything comes out even.

Search #3 again gets me

24-38
etc except this time I could swear I counted ten results on the first page, and when I go back it's 17. But still 16-30 etc on subsequent pages. There must have been two things that look like separate results but really belong with an adjoining entry. Dang, we need that "noidea" emoticon right about here.

At the top right of your search results page, click Advanced to open the advanced search box.

Uhm, I don't see an "Advanced". Do you have to be signed in?

Did finally find Preferences (the gear thingy). The "number of results to display" option is set to Auto. 15 is an option but 12 isn't.

Hmmmmmm.
