Typical Microsoft.

I've been watching them do this for years. They throw a product out there to compete like MSN and it didn't cut it. But what MS has on their side is lots of money and lots of time. So they just keep working on it, chipping away little by little and Bing is the current incarnation chipping away at Google.

This is a very good thing IMO because when Bing starts closing in on 50% market share, it will probably happen at 40%, I'm thinking Google will have a massive shake up and there will be a complete reversal in how they treat webmasters. If it doesn't happen, then we'll add a footnote to Wikipedia about how arrogance of the PhD was their G's ultimate downfall. :)

Yahoo's Inktomi and Ask Jeeves have already become the 2 biggest casualties of this war so far so Bing better do a good job going after the top dog.

I'm a firm believer that their Facebook and Twitter strategies that are currently evolving are going to seal the deal and make it a real 2 pony race.
