Um .. not from my desktop they aren't.

Mine neither, the Google human raters are still cleaning up from the last set of changes where Bing has remained steady.

This is a complete redesign in approach, not just the addition of buttons. There is a social 'friends who might know' section and other new features that will make the bing home page more sticky.

Anything that can bring more market share to Bing and/or away from Google will create a more balanced search product which is good news for web publishers who've grown tired of the whims of any one engine.
