Yes, it's an uphill fight for MS because of their reputation over the last couple of decades.
But money spent on advertising that concentrates on Bing as the good boy versus Google as the bad boy may well pay dividends.
Being realistic, Jo Public doesn't even realise that Bing is owned by MS. In their eyes its Bing versus Google.
