I think one of G big problems is giving complete dominance to all the brand names at the expense of small business.
People search to find things or alternate sources. They already know Walmart, Staples, Amazon, BestBuy sells "blue widgets". So when the top 10 in the SERPs is saturated with these multi-national brand names, they go else where so search.
