Google got greedy and by doing so not only reduced diversification of results, but spiced up results with more renderings of their own product suites, all designed to basically generate more revenue.
People are all about functionality and improvement, but can smell advertising a mile away, and when new useless features are added to the mix, the consumer is always going to look at potential competitors.
Google needs to get back to the way they used to be.
Caring about quality results and user. And still making a ton of coin.
