Websites don't exist to provide content for search engines, search engines exist to provide visitors a map to our content. When search tries to steal the content and/or re-write the map to point at them the law needs to come down on them, swiftly, regardless of who "them" is.
This is one of the most succinct and relevant statements made on this forum in years. It also defines many of my issues with Google - they're no longer about being a search engine, they're about using our content to make money in our markets.
