I have an Apache server, and I'd like to set up a traffic/bandwidth limit of 100GB/Month on a virtual host. Unfortunately, my google-fu has failed me: googling "apache bandwidth (or traffic) limit" has led me to nothing but mods that limit connection speeds...
I tried a mod called "mod_cband", but it didn't appear to work. After testing by setting a quota of 1MB, then downloading some files from the site (using more than 1MB), I found the site continued to operate, even after I cleared my cache, instead of sending the expected "509 Quota Exceeded". The admin 'scoreboard' page provided by the mod, however, reported that the site was over quota.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Or can anyone point me in the direction of another mod that will do the job?
