Well FWIW, I think what they are saying is that you could write such a module if you wanted to, but I don't see native support for it. I see the Apache group providing the ability to filter inbound and outbound (previously only inbound could be acted on), so that you get one more chance to act on the data before it gets to the browser. I'm sure it won't be long though until someone builds a module to act on SSI within CGI's given this new feature.
