I admit, the discussion did get a bit off topic, though the discussion about innerHTML vs. DOM started off as a best practices discussion (which I considered on topic). I considered pulling the innerHTML debate out into it's own thread, but couldn't spot a clear breaking point that made sense.

But I think it has veered back on course now. :)

naark, another great JavaScript reference is the book "JavaScript: The Definitive Guide." Also, online forums (such as this one) make for a nice way to pose questions and get feedback. Once you start learning, if you get stuck or need to better understand why something behaves the way it does, this is a good place to ask. I've found that the best way to learn is though experience. The more you do something, the easier it becomes.
