So I'm puttering around a website-- not mine and not this one ;) --and I hit an error page.
Please fill in the following field(s): Title The "field(s)" part is interesting because elsewhere on the same site they scrupulously check whether the message pertains to one, two or more-than-two items, and word the text accordingly. But I guess they got tired. Glancing up at the address bar I see that the URL is /error/error.jsp?fields=title%2C&error=errorMissingFields Well, I can't resist that. URL /error/error.jsp?fields=foobar%2C&error=errorMissingFields
Please fill in the following field(s): foobar[en] (It's a multilingual site that defaults to English.) Let's stick with words I know the site knows: URL error/error.jsp?fields=backToMain%2C&error=errorMissingFields
P lease fill in the following field(s): Back To Main Page All right, so it isn't technically Infinite URL Space, since each URL does yield a fresh set of page content. URL /error/error.jsp?fields=backToMain%5Bfr%5D%2C&error=errorMissingFields
Please fill in the following field(s): backToMain[fr][en] Whoops! Guess I didn't get the wording quite right. URL /error/error.jsp?fields=languageName%2C&error=errorMissingFields
Please fill in the following field(s): English Sounds about right. There's a cookie somewhere. URL /error/error.jsp?fields=widget%2C
No error message given widget[en] Can anything in the world be an error? URL /error/error.jsp?fields=addRelatedTerm%2C&error=changeInfo
Edit personal information Add a See also and, conversely: URL /error/error.jsp?fields=changeInfo%2C&error=addRelatedTerm
Add a See also Edit personal information Answer: Yup, looks like it. Well, I could keep playing with this all day. I think there's a moral in there somewhere. Maybe it should say
Meta-Error Stop playing with the address bar!
