A 10 000 ton meteor, with a 17 metre diameter (approx 4 ton per cubic metre), slammed into the atmosphere over Russia at 18 km/sec, burning up some 20 to 30 km above ground.
YouTube has many videos of the event.
For those with the trail seen low in the sky, the event was happening nearly 200 km away.

Most of the world's media is reporting this as a "10 ton meteor".
No! This was a 10 000 ton object!

I have mostly avoided compilation videos, news reports and videos that purely show the damage seen afterwards, and also avoided several obvious fakes. Some videos have been reposted by many people. I have tried to avoid duplication, but probably missed editing out a few from the list.
"My thoughts go out to the meteor that failed to appreciate the gravity of its situation."
