When I was a lad growing up in Andover I used to walk my dog past the Shopfitting Factory in Shepherds Springs Lane where the Troggs practiced most week nights. It was great to sit outside and listen. This was of course before they became famous.

Reg Ball (his real name) seemed like a nice person and it is a shame to lose another of the great pop / rock icons of the 60s/70s. He was wrong about the crop circles though they aren't caused by aliens they are caused by time travellers.
