---- Secure session / choice to go non-secure?

so I'm annoyed by the "not provided" hack that Google foisted upon us back in Nov.

why is it that if I'm logged in somewhere where https is required, that all my other tabs are somehow also in need of security?

there's probably a reason.

so my great idea of allowing new tabs to be non-secure when logged into a secure site probably just blew out the window.

of course, it would only work if the predominant browsers allowed this feature in their next upgrades, and I don't expect that to happen just because I want to be able to see the "not provided" data.
