Anyone else experiencing this:
Rapport is a lightweight security software solution that protects web communication between enterprises, such as banks, and their customers and employees.
I have been running this software for over a year without a problem. (requested by my bank)
Today Rapport shows a warning whenever I try to login to any non https page.
I.E. A CMS system that requires a username and password.
Warning says: This website --- dot com is insecure. Any information you enter into this page will be submitted without proper encryption and is susceptible to interception. To protect your privacy and security it is recommended to avoid entering sensitive information into unsafe pages.
This has never happened before today.
My hosting company managed to fix the problem on their website by ensuring that their support login form goes to an https not an http and I now do not get the warning message.
However as I run over 100 websites for clients I am not going to advise them that they need to install and pay for an SSL Certificate and go to the expense of reconfiguring all their login pages, just to satisfy Rapport.
