1) it just works ..thus you are imagining a "problem"
2) you are not holding it correctly.
3) printing with an ipad is done lithographically ..first draw or trace what you wish print on the display with a grease pencil, then etch the display area with dilute nitric acid in a gum arabic solution..
Next clean with turpentine..ready for inking ..the ink is applied with a roller...and the paper placed in contact with the inked surface of the ipad and subjected to pressure..
The ipad2 can also be printed from using the offset lithographic method..( and due to its toughened display area, will last longer than the ipad1 if the first method is used ) for details of how to print from the ipad see [en.wikipedia.org...]
When not in use it is suggested that either ipad be stored in a rollneck sweater ..cashmere and dark colours are best ..
