The news report on the radio yesterday said something like, "Budget cuts have force the shutdown of SETI, the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, in Northern California."
As the newscaster said it quickly (as in no pause at the commas), I wondered why they were wasting tax dollars searching for extra-terrestrial aliens in Northern California- most likely the aliens are going to be in outer space, not Northern California.
Granted, there are aliens and other weird things in Northern California, but I'm not sure that they're ETs.
