then you don't understand people at all, look at how people get excited by celebrities of all sorts - and to continue with the 'stolen' analogy, lots of films, pop songs and sports merchandise that is marketed to us (which people willingly buy) is overpriced rubbish - isn't that like theft too!

as for the cost, i can tell you that as a retailer in central london i've felt the benefit of it and i'm expecting a bumper day tommorow as thousands and thousands of extra (to usual) tourists will be here looking to spend.
