Wikipedia has to protect itself from link spammers just like any other usre contributed site. I doubt that any relevant search engine would penalize a site only because its domain matches a pattern on that list.

Btw. limoshawn, you didn't say where that original citation comes from. It is part of a warning template customarily given to wikipedia editor accounts found to be spamming. Have you been caught? ;)
