We get no "live" nuisance calls at work any more because we subscribe to the free telephone preference service but this doesn't stop the pointless pre-recorded garbage that assaults my eardrums daily. So how can you make a profit from that?

Subscribing to TPS doesn't stop the four or five calls per day that my phone display shows as "international".
