I have both, and haven't played PS2 once since I got XBOX.

Just about everything is better except some people complain about the larger controllers XBOX uses (you can buy smaller if needed), and the game selection isn't up to the PS2 yet. As far as I'm concerned though, XBOX has an amazing amount of high quality games for being so new and I like the controllers.

Now in my view XBOX live is the PS2 killer. I can't speak to the PS2 version of online play, but from what I've heard it's pretty bad. They left the servers up to the individual game makers, which includes support, voice sucks, and they alllow 56k dial up connections which kills the gameplay with lag.

MS on the other hand, handles the whole deal which was the right way to go. They take care of all support, billing, etc, and they only allow cable or DSL connections so the gameplay is amazing. Voice is *perfect* too. Seriously, I've been playing with up to about 16 people at once with no lag at all. It is sickeningly addictive and fun.

Don't get me wrong though -- PS2 is good. I used to love it and you could probably argue convincingly for either system...until XBOX Live was released.
