Some interesting replies. I always say each car I get will be less practical than the last. I think a part of it is wanting something out of the ordinary.

I don't want a 9-5 job.
I don't want 2.4 kids.
I don't want to live in a semi in surburbia.
I don't want to drive a 'sensible' hatchback.

Not saying there's anything wrong with those things, but it's certainly not me, and besides a little eccentricity can't be a bad thing!

Oh and I also ride my bike in the summer whenever I can (have to admit to being a fair weather cyclist).
