This is only the begining my friend. Watch for my post on or around July 9th, I will predict the world cup winner--as soon as the game is over ;)

England vs Portugal:
If I had to bet, I'd guess that England wins, but that's because I have seen England play more, and in 50-50 situations I tend to go with the one I know better. England needs to wake up though, 1-0 against Ecuador, while still a win, is embarrasing. Play like that against Brazil, Germany, Argentina or even Portugal, and you're out.

I was reading that Scolari has won his last 11 matches in the World Cup (was Brazil's coach too). Sometimes coaches push the right buttons and make the team; most players of the World Cup caliber can rise to the occasion and the small differences in talent can be overcome with perseverance and will. Not sure if Cristiano Ronaldo can play, making it tougher for Portugal, given that Deco is definitely out.

Finals: Brazil - Germany. Why? Brazil is Brazil, and no need to explain that. As far as Germany: they have a great team, they are playing in their turf, and no matter how much they suck, they somehow manage to go in the finals. Call it luck, experience, or whatever...
Of course, Brazil, my favorite team since childhood wins :)
