Sounds like an admirable effort, so long as you are careful not to tie any of this into promoting the clickage of AS ads.

Anyone wishing to actually "raise funds" on a website- for a benevolent cause- must register under the Charitable Trust act in the respective state, and specify that the recipients are from Louisiana. If it is a broad recipient range, one must file under that act in 36 different states.
Again- this applies to soliciting on the internet, no matter the method of payment.
Not sure that this is what you are doing, as it doesn't seem to be...but this information may help others that are looking to jump into the fray of charitable causes.
