On the initial visit, a user might be researching destinations; only after deciding where and when to go will the user be ready to consider questions such as "Where can I rent a car?" or "Who can give me the best deal on a cruise?" or "Which hotels should I book?" The same cycle might exist on a widget site where the user researches widgets during multiple visits before deciding which widget to buy, at which point he or she may be ready to compare prices from several advertisers.
