How anyone can try to justify scraping honest content just beyond me.
Comparisons to search engines are ludicrous.

If this discussion were about Arson instead of Scraping, I can just imagine the excuses
* Others do it. * Pyromaniacs stimulate the economy.
* Forest fires are part of the natural cycle.
* What about lightning? .. Kids playing with matches?
* Today's arsonist is tomorrow's rocket scientist ..
* The building owner is a wet blanket.
