Has anyone found a solution for this penalty? One of my sites got hit by this but it hasn't changed much in 5 years so I don't see why Google would do something like this. Luckily 1/2 of the traffic is mobile and those ads still have nessie. Unfortunately in order to recover some of the desktop revenue I've had to resort to ruining the user experience by placing ads in places I thought I never would. Interrupting the user experience with massive ugly ads is the only way I've found to regain income so far and even that's only 20% of the earnings before the nessie penalty. My whole philosophy behind the site was to make a better user experience but now there are blogs competing with me that basically copy and pasted content from multiple sites. Why is my custom scripted site being punished when these spammy blogs are competing for rankings and making the money? Makes no sense to me at all. I'd love to take my 500k visits/mo to another ad service but even with this penalty it's still the best.
