Personally, I think any traffic from real people who come to your site of their own volition is a good thing. If they're not really interested in the subject of your site, then they are more likely to click on the ads (which Google may have tailored to their interests anyway). So, it's a win for you and Google.
On the other hand, I don't think many people (other than those of us who work with web sites) actually type URLs into their browser's address bar. At best, most people will type what they think they recall as your URL into Google or Bing's search box. You just have to hope that they'll eventually find your site. :-)
