...you're being tracked and anyone that thinks otherwise is being deluded.
As a strong advocate of the right to privacy I know how much I'm being tracked, I have no delusions about it. I know when, where, why and how. I'm absolutely fully aware of my ISP's record keeping and monitoring of my movements. I have never doubted it for a minute but that's not what I object to. I draw the line when I'm being tracked for profit, or someone else's personal gain, by colluding entities and there is far to much of that going on right now.
It has nothing to do with paranoia or anything to hide. It's just simply wrong to be invading people with the ultimate goal of trying to shove a product in their face on every site they visit or now via mobile with every street they walk down.
Concerning Chrome -- there is no doubt in my mind that google uses it to track and profile individuals for profit. They are hungry for info concerning people's habits, so much so that they have even hacked browser settings of other companies to track their users. They must be licking their chops every time someone else switches to Chrome.
