I feel you, MrSavage. Eventhough Ive been doing well the past several months, I still live in fear that everything will be taken away. Nothing in life is forever, they say. There will always be challenges each of us must face -- it's up to us how to handle them.
Incredibill gave a good advice in some of the posts I read, something like "when you're doing great, save." That's what I did when my traffic collapsed 2 years ago. But you know, the trial was a blessing in disguise. I realize I should not rely on one site so I created many. And I should not just rely on Adsense as sole source of income so I made some sites paid subscription only. I've also tried to improve myself by studying graphic design, programming, and English. I have time to do them because I had a lot of savings when Adsense earnings were overflowing. I've learned from my mistakes. I am wiser, confident, and stronger now. And I'm ready if ever my earnings go down again.
If I can give an advice.. there's only one way to do well with Adsense: traffic -- quality traffic, lots of it. If you don't have it, then you won't go very far.
I wish you the best in your future endeavors.
