For those that are interested in this, I have done some further digging and testing.

It appears that these large boxes do not appear in Safari, Firefox or Chrome. I have only seen it in IE7.

They don't look too bad, and not annoying at all IMO.

I do not see them in IE7 for premium publishers, only for us plebians.

It could explain why not too many people have mentioned it as it appears to affect IE7 only. I cannot comment on iphones, tablets, or laptops (or semen killers as I call them.)
