So I log in yesterday, and for the first time see a banner (this is in the new interface) that says "You have (1) urgent message!" - or something to that effect, I don't remember exactly except that the word 'urgent' was used, and it was in bold - above my day's earnings.
Click on the stupid thing, and it's an automated message telling me that I have at least 1328 ad units that aren't performing as they should because some are designated text only and some are designated image only.
Some urgent message.
Anyway, I dismissed it. I know what I'm doing and I set my ads that way so I can test text against image.
And today, I get another EMAIL this time telling me the exactly same thing. "You have at least 1328 ad units..."
Now I don't mind AdSense giving me TIPS in my account, as long as they're labeled such. If they make sense, I'll take advantage, if not, I won't.
I do object to the placement of the banner and the urgency labeling, as though my account were somehow in violation of TOS or had been hacked or otherwise was at risk of termination.
Uncalled for, Google.
