Hosts..lives in different places depending on which version of windows you have ...
Following "advice" as vague and inaccurate as
add an entry "googlesyndication.com" or something like that to point to 127.0.0.1.
Will get you into trouble .. an old thread here [webmasterworld.com] on the subject ..there are others.
If you have a static IP at home you can also use SSI or PHP on the site itself to block your own IP from seeing adsense.
Search for "block adsense with SSI"..you' ll find some old threads here in the results ..or "How to block IP address on Google Adsense adverts" will get you some more info.
