I installed Firefox on my Android phone today
That was your first mistake - why put puffy bloated FF on a sleak Android Chrome powered phone? Even for testing purposes? You're talking such a minimal installed base it's a massive waste of time at this point.
However, if you must test other Android browsers, most people that would tend to replace Chrome use something built on Chrome, like Dolphin, which is basically the same browser with lots of extras.
Netmeg pretty much answered the question, you have to deliver the right type of ads to the right mobile user agent or they simply don't display. With the alternative obviously being disabling the mobile view and using your browser as a normal browser.
