Seems like a symptom of throttling on both sides, G and AS, but it may be a natural web evolution.
It seems a lot of niches have lost traffic while maintaining rankings, season aside, facebook and all the other search engine homepage distractions from reviews to maps have eliminated the need or want to use search,(and position can be below the fold) all compounded by the newest hundred thousand publishers, top paying ads used up before lunch everday,.
less surfers + more publishers + more distractions = uh oh
