I kinda consider today the first day of the year that counts, as it's the first day most working folks are back on the job, browsing away....There doesn't seem to be a reporting delay, but it's an average to slow day traffic wise. Which could be people catching up with work/ chatting with coworkers about their holidays, or a post-Christmas algorithm change, fate catching up to me, or just bum luck.
Oddly, CPM earnings for me reached a minor crescendo in December, over the holidays gradually working up to five to six times their normal level...now they're back to normal levels. At least in my niches, it seems that:
1) more advertisers were using CPM bids this year
2) some advertisers end their fiscal year in December (didn't seem to be as dramatic as the fall fiscal end last year).
