Does anyone know how much Google earns from Adsene? If you do we can get some VERY ROUGH figures for the average earnings per publisher. For example my enquiries indicate that Google earned just over $7 billion in 2009 from Adsense.

If there are over 1 million publishers (lets assume 1.2 for the sake of this example) and we assume a billion to be 1,000,000,000 (in the UK I think you would add another 3 zeroes) and we assume that Google pays out 70% of its income to publishers, then the average Adsense publisher earns just over $4,000 per year.

We need to account for two other factors at least:

1. The big boys take a huge chunk of that money.
2. The really small boys amount to a large number of the publishers.

1 and 2 balance each other out to give a fair figure for average active Adsense publisher?
