I think this will explain my situation then. I'm finding that blog type sites are doing better than static content sites, presumably since it is often hard for the adsense to be optimised for blog content so now visitors are more likely to be presented with at least something of interest. Unfortunately, for the static content sites I am now losing the directly relevant ads to my sites.

There must be some winners I suppose though.
