Folks who watch commercials (paid ads) still go out and buy the product when they see an ad of something they like or need.

It is not about the user's intelligence. It is about providing ads that are useful and relevant to the user.

The only users that hesitate to click ads are webmasters, for a whole slew of other reasons. ;-)
