If you are creating evergreen content you might be able to look forward to months or years of continued income from pages you build today.

I think that's a good point that is often overlooked.

If you work one hour at a $10/hr job, you earn $10. You don't earn another $10 unless you work another hour.

Often, with AdSense, if you work one hour you continue to get paid "residuals" from that one hour's work - it keeps going and going - like the pink rabbit.
