From the UK, all looks OK now, stats are exactly what I would expect.

I would be interested to know if the outage affected big and small alike.

My sites earn me a living wage, my stats were affected. Were we all affected with lagging stats? Were any of us notified early on that there was a problem.

If we are all affected equally, big, middle and low earners then the outage beggars belief. But maybe the top earners had special attention. I can't get my head round the fact that possibly Google treated all publishers (major players in their major income stream) the same.

Before I started this internet publishing business, I worked in the commercial computer industry for 20 years. IBM, Cable and Wireless, ABN, The Post Office, Nationwide etc, all were the same. If there was an outage the first step was to contact the users and explain what was happening and how it was being dealt with. It made sense, the users would find out in the end. Was I living in a dream world?
