Hopefully the CEO didn't have a heart attack when Google pulled the plug. $1m goals are cute... but reality check? Starting from scratch today, you're at the back of a line... a really long line. Big-money Adsense-supported sites have an immense amount of SERP "collateral" that takes years to create. And even after you spend years to do the same, you'll still be below them in SERPs because they have a longer track record (TrustRank). I don't know if there is a single untapped market online that is just waiting for a new site that will make millions from Adsense. Saturation and oversaturation is all I see everywhere I look. It's a bit like the domain market. If you got in several years ago, when all the great domains hadn't been taken (1994-98), you did well. Then the competition for domain sales became extremely intense. The competition between sites with Adsense today is also something fierce! p/g
Sounds like a tiff, doesn't it? Like the ebay spat last year.
