I honestly don't think I could ever bring myself to quit my day job and rely solely on my online income. Firstoff, because it'd take a 6.6x increase in my online income to maintain my total current income. Secondly, because I just don't trust it.

I wouldn't want to rely solely on AdSense income, but with an established site and multiple revenue streams, Web publishing can be more secure than a job where everything goes "pfffffft" if you're laid off or fired.
