What mysterious "real reason"?

We don't know what we don't know, which is always true. It's nice to take things at face value but naive not to speculate about some possible "other reasons." I think the farewell party can be taken as some degree of mutual cordiality.

I have no doubt he can fund his projects out of pocket or with eager VC's, what I am curious about is how he will monetize the ongoing operations and profitability, advertising maybe?
