If you can get more money from any competing program, take it. You'd be an idiot not to.
These threads are beside the point. There is no "fair" amount for Google to pay. It makes no practical difference whether they pay out 1% or 99% of the advertiser's cost. Google pays you a certain amount for running their ads, and you're free to take it or leave it.
