Good point, the site is a sports related topic, and the visitors really do vary (eg 1000 yesterday, 600 monday). TBH I think the site is capable of at least 50K visitors per month and this is something I will be aiming for.
Why such a large variance? If the site is stable, I wouldn't expect that.
