My EPC, if graphed over two years, gradually declines, then gradually rises to higher than it started. Over the same period of time, clicks have increased by a factor of at least five, but not smoothly--there are a few jumps up on the line. No correlation that I can see.
May also depend on your area, the size of your site, and so on.
