I promote firefox because widespread use would make designing web sites without nasty css hacks easier.

I use firefox because I like all the extensions and the general feel of it.

I trust it because I have the opportunity to look at the source code.

But I wouldn't install it with the G toolbar. I don't trust google that much. And I see no use for it.
